In a unexpected crossover event that challenges usual predictions, the game developer has revealed an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Uncovered

According to the official announcement, "A mysterious confrontation pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of banned rituals and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the shadows." The storyline features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a hidden cult.

The mission focuses on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Changes

The preview showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a striking scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who accomplish the mission will receive an unique katana alongside several items hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
