I will overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Former twice unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really happening.
