The Ideal Pocket Monster Tales: Z-A Mega Evolution Based on the Astrological Sign
This comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited immense enthusiasm within the fandom. Starting with the one-by-one unveiling of newcomers ahead of the game's launch, to trainers forming firm views on the entire roster of Mega Evolutions, there's plenty for enthusiasts to look forward to.
With many of the Mega Evolutions boasting unique designs that highlight their personalities, one thought came to mind: What's the best way to connect this with astrology? This list is based on a blend of vibes, common zodiac traits, and personal experience.
The Ram – Mega Camerupt
To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was almost chosen for this fire sign, as both are the Mega Pokémon and zodiac symbol that inspire the most fear. But, a Super Houndoom comes across as constantly angry, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, renowned for being fun, light-hearted, and impulsive. That's why the Ram far more similar to Mega Camerupt, which solely erupts when angered. Stay on the friendly side of either and benefit from a strong ally; should you offend them, be ready to get burned.
Taurus – Super Heracross
Similar to a loyal Taurus, the reliable Heracross, both in its regular and Super Form, has aided numerous trainers in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, each the Pokémon and a Bull are also battle-oriented, and – be it their trainer or a firm belief – will stand up for their position unwaveringly. What about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unabashed passion for snacks. Several past official descriptions mention their fondness for tasty tree sap and how it employs its appendage to collect it all, which is true Bull-sign vibe.
The Twins – Mega Medicham
Observe this absolute queen. It's impossible to tell me this Pokémon is not the soul of every party, providing an constant fountain of chatter to those who wants to listen. Much like an enrapturing, sociable Twins, it's very simple to envision Super Medicham captivating an entire open area with their tales. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also states its capacity to predict an enemy’s next moves, which sounds quite like a people-smart Gemini.
The Crab – Super Manectric
The Crab is commonly regarded as the most emotional sign of the astrological wheel, a passionate symbol known for frequently getting absorbed in their emotions. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution charges the Pokémon with a “tremendous amount of energy, but it's too much for this Pokémon to completely manage,” which seems a lot like a classic Cancer crash-out. This Pokémon is also known for its ability to create a storm cloud over its very self – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is likely to do, it’s rain on their good time.
The Lion – Mega Starmie
Oh, did you think I was going to select Pyroar for the king of the zodiac? Aside from the reality that it would be much too on the nose, Leo is clearly Mega Starmie, the diva whose gams just went viral for being too glamorous (or terrifying, based on your taste). Fans were captivated from the violet starfish, and that’s precisely the same energy a Lion offers to the scene. This Pokémon is also said to be broadcasting signals from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Lion to be staging a show, albeit for extraterrestrials.
Virgo – Super Victreebel
The ever-prepared and perpetually-anxious Maiden is ideally represented in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual acid reflux. The zodiac symbol famous for being endearingly critical is strongly mirrored throughout this creature's whole evolutionary chain, from a always surprised expression like a Virgo when you tell them you lack a retirement plan, to its upside-down face that’s just like the symbol a Maiden posts to the chatroom when all says they want to “go with the flow” rather than making a strategy.
Libra – Mega Audino
Observe this gentle, empathetic being, who employs the feelers on its auditory organs to detect how others are feeling by their pulse. Always empathetic – sometimes to a fault – and trying to maintain the harmony, there are many Scales who would likely benefit from Super Audino's skills. However, to be frank, it would likely just cause them to stress even more about others.
Scorpio – Super Banette
Banette is a Pokémon with a surprisingly sad origin: Abandoned as a doll, it gained sentient through pure hatred and swore retribution on its former owner. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That seems exactly like many conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpion friends. A Scorpion loves karma and comeuppance, making them the ideal match with Mega Banette.
Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha
Each Mega Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly putting on a show. As a Sagittarius myself, the amount of occasions I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “silly little entertainer” is countless. The showiest and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “poses to display its power.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Archer match I can imagine.
The Goat – Super Absol
Did you know that a Super Absol has the power to predict calamities ahead of time? That exudes the exact same vibe as a Goat, who tends to always believe they’re right. The thing is, similar to a visionary Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute initial Super Form that trainers encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to join the ground floor of the Mega trend.
Aquarius – Mega Chandelure
Aloof air sign Aquarius is arguably the non-fire placement that is most like a fire sign – its sister sign is Leo, and there are countless memes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being unpredictable accomplices. Super Chandelure's dual Spirit/Flame category matches seamlessly with this, and the Mega’s general daunting presence is also very Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “draws in hatred and converts it into power.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
